Cornish Hill Reserve, linocut, edition of 5, 170 x 100cm, 2023
A$2 750.00
The creative process for this artwork began from walking regularly in Cornish Hill Reserve.
Cornish Hill Reserve is in Daylesford on Dja Dja Wurrung Country. It was heavily mined from around the 1850’s to the early 1900’s. It was then inhabited by goats, cows and wildlife. In the 1990’s the local residents rallied against it becoming a residential development, this is an ongoing issue.
Carving in this large format gives me a sense of freedom and expansiveness that translates visually to my emotional engagement in the land. I endeavour to convey our connections of the landscape by exposing changing perspectives.
